Emporium Style: Celebrity Design to Get Behind from Courtney Cox and David for Satya Jewelry

If you've dropped by Fashion Funhouse Emporium in the last couple days and noticed my lack of blogging, you may have felt sad, disappointed or even suicidal.

I suppose I have some explaining to do. I've been busy this week working as a 2nd assistant to a celebrity stylist.  To sum up my week briefly:  The stylist and her first assistant got into a huge fight which lasted for an hour and a half while I sat there having an ethical debate with myself...should I send my resume to the stylist?  It was pure New York Post Page Six gossip column sh*t. Therefore I cant disclose any details.  I also realized that I am too old to be schlepping awards show gowns all over the City of New York.  I fell asleep on the couch every night this week in full make up and clothing, like a drunk uncle after Thanksgiving dinner.  Wait...would an uncle wear make-up?  Any hoo, what was I blogging about today...oh celebrity jewelry.

I usually scoff at celebrity clothing and jewelry lines. Though, I will admit, there are a few good ones out there.  And sometimes they are for a good purpose other than "branding" yourself as a "mogul."

Courtney Cox and David Arquette have teamed up with Satya Jewelry to create symbolic, inexpensive necklaces, bracelets and earrings to benefit  Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation, aiming to find a cure for a rare childhood skin disease.  The Satya Foundation donates 100% of the proceeds to the EB foundation.

Okay Amber I was almost suicidal from not seeing you blog but I'm better now..I may not always comment but I almost always read your blog. The Satya jewelry line looks good and it's for a good cause but the real story here is.. did you give her your resume? I know your not into all the celebrity hoopla and that's why you would be good for a job like that. You would probably make good contacts for a better job later on. I say forget the ethical debate sometimes your in a situation for a reason and you should just go for it. What's the worst that could happen? They don't hire you but then they will know you are motivated and will probably keep you in mind. Let us know what happens. Good Luck !!
