New Years Eve Sans Party Dress

If you plan on partying past midnight this New Year's Eve, skip the dress and throw on some pants for non stop dancing. Menswear for women raided the runways this past season. Feminine twists on men's dress up clothing are sticking around for the new year as well. This holiday outfit was inspired by the looks of Balmain, Ralph Lauren and Stella McCartney. And you'll be surprised how much less you'll need to spend to pull it off!

Holiday Trends - All that Glittters Accessories

A trend that grew from the runways of Miu Miu is good old fashioned pre-school glitter. Is there a better time to wear sparkle than the holidays. From shoes, to bags and even jewelry these craft-inspired accessories can brighten any festive ensemble.

My personal favorite is the silver brouges, as I've recently developed an obsession with these menswear inspired shoes.

Black Friday ...and Sunday...and Monday

It used to be that black diamonds were looked upon as the most undesirable of the gemstone. It makes sense as it is not as pure as that white shiny one that women wear when they are spoken for. The stone is difficult to cut because of its make-up. As of recently, that hasn't stopped jewelry designers from appreciating the cool modern alternative look that comes from this stone.

Watch Your Mouth: Jewlery Spotlight with Simone de Bernard Mas

Photo: Courtesy of Blackhouse PR

Is this the strangest, yet coolest, I think I need to wear it and can't stop looking at it cuff?

Metal-smith, jewelry designer and fine artist Simone De Bernard Mas created a line called LipService for the Spring/ Summer 2012 collection. Her designs are inspired by growing up in the Caribbean, mostly working with oxidized metals and precious stones. Her sculptural work has been on display in her home base of Florida at the Graham Center Art Gallery at Florida International University.  From salivating lips to even vagina sculptures, her work transforms metal into observational shapes, objects and yes, even the most intimate of body parts.

Iconic Designs for Less with Versace for H&M - Expect Riots!

Versace for H&M

Courtesy Photos: H&M

About:
"The collection for H&M is the essence of Versace. For the collaboration we've brought back from the archives, as well as from more recent collections, some of the icons of Versace such as the bright prints, the Greek key and daring cuts. I can't wait to see how H&M’s wide audience will make these pieces their own." Donatella Versace. Shes not lying. There is even a dress a version the Fall 2011 bib dress with gold buttons. Leather, suits, skirts, all iconic designs that you recognize.  Homeware, accessories and shoes--the works.

Launch Date:
The date that will be known as the Versace Massacre- Novemeber 17, 2011.

How much & where:
300 H&M Stores Nationwide. If you prefer less dramatics than a store visit, expect the website to crash and sell out all items like Missoni for Target on November 17th as well. Prices range from $20 for jewelry up to $300 for leather pieces like that fine ass dress above.

Worth the Wrestle?
I'm scared for you. I really am. Even I, who never subjects myself to the mass hysteria fashion launches, considered buying a tent, covering it with studs in the spirit of Donatella and pitching it on 34th Street. I'll say it, its hot. Its on point with the Versace name and there items for both men and women. Prince and Nikki Minaj are scheduled to play at the launch party. Consider it the equivalent of Barcelona's running with the bulls. There. Will. Be. Blood.
