Prints
When Miu Miu sent crazy cat lady, naked lady trucker flap and bird prints down the runway this spring who knew that they'd be such a hit? Having just screened Alfred Hitchcock's "The Bird's, " I was instantly obsessed. I even copied this print onto an ikea chair with acrylic paint.
For those of you who are print crazy and want to stay away from avian themes, Spring has plenty of patterned footwear styles at every price point.
Flesh/ Nude Tones
Flesh tones went down the runway in top collections like Fendi, Stella McCartney and Alberta Ferretti. Faded blush and pink beige are neutral tones and a perfect alternative to bright white or brown shoes. The monochromatic, head to toe nude looks great on pale skin tones.
Brights
Bright colors were seen along side the paired down minimal tones on Spring's catwalk from Emporio Armani to Lanvin. Before you go running off and putting bright purple with bright blue, be careful of color overkill. These vibrant shoes can add a pop of color to this season's khaki dresses and my personal favorite, the army green- strong colored accessories combo.
