Hollywood churned out dozens of "surfer" and beach movies in the 1960's. I suppose it was their equivalent of our "High School Musical" series. Basically in every movie of this genre, a bunch of shirtless teen boys and bikini clad girls flock to the beaches for fun in the sun and chaos ensues!
Though, what is particularly awesome about these movies are --you guessed it, the clothes! I went back to the 70's with Wicked Wicked and now check out some swingin' sixities summer style. Then, take a look at this clip of the ageless Raquel Welch looking too cool for the dorks dancing in the sand. And, after viewing a couple of these corny flicks, it's no wonder some turned to trash and psychedelic rock Counterculture.
