Amber Stolec and Jamar Graham
About Amber
This blog was started by Amber Stolec, a market editor, writer and stylist based in Brooklyn. She has worked with many of established, noted stylists as an assistant on celebrity, editorial and advertising projects. She's worked at publications such as InStyle, Self, and StyleList. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and a certificate in Journalism from NYU, along with a long list of film and fashion continuing education classes.
Amber has styled shoots for The Collective and West East magazine and was the key costumer on My Damn Channel's SuperEgo.
In Amber's early career, she worked at Taco Bell, cleaned toilets at a nursing home, waited tables at the Olive Garden and has been secretary to many o' jerky financial executives.
After quickly learning old people miss the commode--A LOT, and serving Never Ending Pasta Bowls or Chalupas really blows, she decided to pursue her passions and enter the fashion world.
And yes, she now loves her fashion career!
About Jamar
Amber met Jamar when she was looking for an intern to help get her started on her own. The two became pals and noticing that Jamar was way cooler than her, she asked him to hop aboard and cover fashion shows for the blog.
Jamar attended Parsons New School of Design. In the past he worked as a visual merchandiser for Macy's department stores, assisted established stylists (not Amber) and interned at both Gilt Groupe and WGSN.
Currently, He curates his own blog about fashion and art seen through his unique eye at Treated Material and finds the best of dumped off fashions for The Housing Works vintage shop. He has also been working to establish himself as a fashion stylist.
