Remember when you were in junior high and you made mix tapes, hoping to create a musical compilation that defined you? You thought the girl of your dreams would listen, drop to her knees and say "hes so multi-dimensional! I must have him!" You added "Sex Machine" to drop that subtle hint. It may be inappropriate to come right out on a first date and say "I do it all night, like a piece of machinery," but making a tape with such is subject to interpretation if she finds it too forward. While you were at it, you threw in a tune to showcase your sensitive side. You know what were talking about-- Bryan Adams "Everything I do, I do it for you."
Here's a better idea now that you're not a pimply faced pre-pubescent teen anymore. Why not show up looking hot in a pair of jeans, button down shirt and one of these skinny ties made from the very same cassette tapes you tried to get girls (or guys) with when you were in junior high.
Conceptual artist Alyce Santoro created these ties using her Sonic Fabric, made from the archaic form of your teen musical identity, cassettes.
And if your date is failing miserably, the tie is actually audible if you rub a tape head on it. Distraction may be your only option.
