New York Fashion Week: Fall 2010
Designers Elisa Dahan and Eran Elfassy of Mackage showed bright and early at the Tents in Bryant Park. Known for their high end outerwear, the design duo built their company as childhood friends.
This season Mackage debuted their women's ready to wear line.

Loved Looks
What can I say, Im a sucker for leather. Though I question if the studs trend is becoming played out, I couldn't help but love all the leather accessories adorned with pyramid shaped embossing like boots, gloves and even coat lapels. Though I am probably past the age of wearing little leather shorts (let alone my legs aren't 5 feet long like the model's) those looks were my favorite. There were a lot of body conscious dresses and skirts, some in winter coat like materials. Overall, thier first ready to wear collection was decent.

Unloved Looks
Again, I'm no so sure about the abundance of studs. Some of the looks, especially the menswear were all things Ive seen numerous times over and over. Dark Buddy Holly glasses, white shirt, skinny tie. This is runway so I hope for more innovation and trend setting rather than do-overs.

Shazam iPhone app has been letting me down big time! Maybe my app couldn't find the tunes because a DJ was doing a custom a euro-pop beep thump boom mix?
People and Scene
It was 9:00 AM so there were a lot of haute hounds, but not even enough to fill the seats. My sympathies to Mackage for thier sh*tty time slot. The lady beside me wanted to make it known that she was no crasher. When I moved from my assigned third row seat to the second row as instructed by staff, she let out a huge sigh and rolled her eyes. Yes, I am a lowly blogger, but I did have an assigned seat. I just got out a pen and note pad and acted like I was scribbling something really important. When a haute hound in the front row turned around and said to her "Yeah dude, this is the party section! We need some champagne!" She got pissed and said "You know, some of US are WORKING!"
To Gift or Not to Gift
There was a little black leather pouch on my seat. I was delighted to look inside and find "Foot Petals." Someone was thinking!!
