West Elm, the modern furniture designer, decked out its shop's windows on Broadway and West 62nd Street for New York Fashion Week Spring 2011. I stopped on my way to the train to make the long haul to Milk Studios and snapped these pictures. Don't you wish they'd credit the person who puts together these crazy, fun and creative store windows?
I actually love West Elm, though some call it Ikea for grown ups. Indeed. For me, in the beginnings of my career, the price is right and the style is more chic than the Torpenblorpenshmergenblergen red bubble couch from the Swedish outlet. Though, I must say, the overlapping squares day bed is a bitch to dust.
